The Ambassador Corp. is the welcoming committee to new members. It provides the public, new members, and potential members with information about how Starfleet, and our local chapter, the USS Appomattox operate. We also try to go to other chapters within the Region and sit in on their meetings. We try to get a better idea of how other groups run their meetings. This allows us to exchange ideas that could possibly better both groups. An example might be concerning new ideas for fundraisers and recruitment. It could include various ways to improve our groups overall. The Ambassador Corps also tries to organize Away Missions. These are field trips, to events and areas of interest to the members of the group.

Positions within the department:

Senior Ambassador: This is the Department Head whose duty it is to instruct other ambassadors as follows: in the way that Starfleet operates with regard to other chapters, to educate other ambassadors in the ways of Starfleet, and to educate the new members in the department toward getting their OTS and OCC which would facilitate their understanding the way Starfleet operates.

Ambassador: This is a member of the department who has completed both OTS and OCC. They are now ready to set up visits with other groups.

Junior Ambassador: These members are working on getting their OTS and OCC with the help of the Ambassadors and Senior Ambassador. They are being educated in the way Starfleet operates.
